Waterview Condominium consists of twelve blocks of 15 storey private apartments located in the eastern region of Singapore, near the Bedok reservoir. When the condominium was in its early stages of construction planning, the developers did not give emphasis on the protection of the carpark floor, it was deemed that the completed bare concrete floor would be feasible and functional enough for regular motor traffic. However, when the residents started moving in and occupying the apartments, they’ve determined that the dullness of the grey concrete was dark and displeasing to the eye, and directional demarcations and numbers were badly contrasted to the concrete floor. The bare concrete was also showing signs of degeneration at such an early stage as there was no protective coating applied.
