5mm thick heavy-duty epoxy mortar topping with aliphatic polyurethane, non-slip finish. USES

USES

Suitable for medium to heavy duty applications in all industries; examples are car parks, work platforms, ramps, traffic aisles, shower rooms, wet food and beverage manufacturing plants, chemical processing plants, plating plants, printing and packaging, electronics and computer manufacturing plants, wafer fabrication plants and pulp and paper mills.

APPLICATION

SUBSTRATE REQUIREMENTS / PREPARATION

  • Concrete floor must be waterproofed and graded to specified levels and falls.
  • Concrete floor shall be cured for minimum twenty-one (21) days.
  • Chip off all cement droppings and cement overpours.
  • Degrease oil/grease contaminants with industrial degreaser.
  • Shotblast surfaces to achieve suitable surface profile.
  • Remove dust with industrial vacuum prior to application of coating.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  • Apply Polygard EP814 epoxy tack coat.
  • Immediately apply Polygard EP816 as mortar base using power trowel and allow to dry for 6 hours.
  • Apply Polygard EP816 as grout coat and allow to dry for 6 hours.
  • Apply Polygard EP816 tie coat and allow to dry for 6 hours.
  • Apply 1 coat Polygard Aliphatic PU913 non-slip finish within 24 hours after applying tie coat.
  • Allow twenty-four (24) hours drying time before opening to light foot traffic and seven (7) days for chemical service conditions.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Products contain epoxy resin and amines. Do not take internally. May irritate eyes and skin. Protective clothing and gloves are recommended to prevent sensitization to these materials. In case of eye contact, flush with soap and clean water and seek medical attention.

POLYGARD® MTX5091 Floor System should be applied by specialist applicators.
