DESCRIPTION

5mm thick heavy-duty epoxy mortar topping with polyester polyurethane finish.

USES

Suitable for use in interior and exterior, heavy traffic areas in all industries for manufacturing, packing and warehouse areas in food manufacturing plants, plating and processing plants, pharmaceutical plants, wafer fabrication plants, electronics and computer manufacturing plants, printing and packaging plants, aircraft and aerospace industries.

APPLICATION

SUBSTRATE REQUIREMENTS / PREPARATION

  • Concrete floor must be waterproofed and graded to specified levels and falls.
  • Concrete floor shall be cured for minimum twenty-one (21) days.
  • Chip off all cement droppings and cement overpours.
  • Degrease oil/grease contaminants with industrial degreaser.
  • Shotblast surfaces to achieve suitable surface profile.
  • Remove dust with industrial vacuum prior to application of coating.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

  • Apply Polygard EP814 epoxy tack coat.
  • Immediately apply Polygard EP816 as mortar base using power trowel and allow to dry for 6 hours.
  • Apply Polygard EP816 as grout coat and allow to dry for 6 hours.
  • Apply Polygard EP812 seal coat and allow to dry for 6hours.
  • Apply 2 coats Polygard PU921 finish allowing 6 hours drying time in between coats.
  • Allow twenty-four (24) hours drying time before opening to light foot traffic and seven (7) days for chemical service conditions.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Products contain epoxy resin and amines. Do not take internally. May irritate eyes and skin. Protective clothing and gloves are recommended to prevent sensitization to these materials. In case of eye contact, flush with soap and clean water and seek medical attention.
